How It Works

The important Ps (Pricing and Payment):

As most of our business is comes from students, we try our best to keep our rates within a student budget. Our hourly rate is less than the minimum wage and at least a third of what you would pay a ‘professional’ proofreader.

We charge
£5.50 per hour and expect 2500 words to take between 2 and 3 hours.

Once we have finished editing your document, we will send you an electronic invoice via Paypal. Upon receipt of payment we will return the edited document to you.

Submitting work:
Submissions and returns are done via email, no one has to leave their bed!
Please submit your work to
info@bcc-editing.co.uk

Comments and corrections are made on the document electronically. We will advise how to use the Track Changes and Comments options in Word.

Documents must be sent as Microsoft Office 2007 or later. Black Cat Copy-editing work in Office 2010 and as such, documents will be returned in this format. We cannot be held responsible if you are unable to see our comments and corrections as you are using an older version of Office, although we will do our best to help.

How long does it take?
Once you have sent a document to us we will respond within 24 hours as to whether we are able to help you and if so, let you know when we anticipate returning your document.
We would suggest you allow at least 48 hours from the email saying, ‘yes we can help’ up until receiving the invoice; please allow more time for dissertations.
